Agusan del Sur Scholar Receives Awards from UP




The provincial government of Agusan del Sur (PGAS) took delight as one recipient of its various scholarhip programs received awards in Tacloban City recently.
In a letter to Governor Eddiebong Plaza, Naimah Karina Negad reported that she received two awards during 34th commencement exercises of the University of the Philippines Manila School of Health Sciences held on April 26 at the UP Visayas in Tacloban City.
Negad, who is pursuing her second level in the step ladder training for Medicine at UPM received the Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Graduates. She was also cited by the Community Health Resource Foundation, Inc. for being one of the topnotchers in the November 2012 Midwifery Licensure examination.
She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to PGAS for providing an avenue for students like her to fulfill their aspiration of attaining quality education through academic grants in various fields.
     “I feel so blessed that through these programs my childhood dream of becoming a medical doctor will in due time come into fruition. And in return, I commit to the best of my abilities to excel in my chosen field and serve my fellow Agusanons in the near future,” she declared. (PPIO-AGSUR)
