Always have the heart in making your film said Mr. Ronald Gary Bautista to the 61 student participants after they presented five short films as part of the 1st Basic Film Making Workshop conducted at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Center last August 17-18, 2013.
Bayugan National Comprehensive High School (BNCHS) invited three speakers who are expert in making quality films from Davao City and already working on different independent filmmakers.
Ms. Angely Pamila Chi, Mr. Jose Bagane Fiola and Mr. Ronald Gary Bautista are all from Davao City, where they promote Bisaya Films by showing their works in different film festivals. All of them are award-winning on their respective movies.
The workshop was presented by Bayugan National Comprehensive High School (BNCHS) in partnership with Binisaya Film Makers in coordination with Balud Art Network to introduce the Bisaya films and inspire young people to make their own movies.
Gusto ko nga makabalo ug edit (I want to learn how to edit) said Kayee Vallejos of 4th year Special Program in Arts (SPA) student. I’m happy to have this workshop, she added.
Most of the groups found the hard part on editing. Some groups had no audio but it wasn’t a hindrance to them but instead it turns into a “Good Job” work.

Binisaya Films
Binisaya Films started last 2009 in Cebu and followed by Davao City where a community created to help those Mindanaons in making their own films.
Balud Art Network is an organization founded by Mr. Angely Chi to give support to the aspiring Bisaya Films in the country.
Mr. Francis Ebardo, teacher from BNCHS and at the same time the organizer of the seminar, envision that those students who joined the workshop will be the key to make Bayugan City and Binisaya films marks on the map.
