Boy Abunda donates 5 classrooms in Agusan del Sur

TRENTO, AGUSAN DEL SUR - The Philippine’s King of Talk Shows, Boy Abunda visited Barangay San Isidro in this town and donated five school buildings from his newly-formed Make Your Nanay Proud (MYNP) Foundation.

He also handed out a check for P100,000 as livelihood assistance for mothers in the community and asked the village chief to establish a cooperative to assist them.

Governor Eddiebong Plaza was on hand to welcome Abunda and his party and expressed his gratitude for the donation during simple rites held at the San Isidro Elementary School.
They were joined by Boardmembers Samuel Tortor and Gilbert Elorde, Mayor Johnmark Billanes, DepEd, municipal and barangay officials.

The province is the first recipient of Abunda’s generosity through MYNP.
He said they chose the barangay because it was hit hard and ravaged by typhoon Pablo late last year.
In an interview with local reporter AJ Andres of radio station DXDA and TV station PTV 8, Abunda said that their foundation is yet to be formally launched during the Mother’s Day celebration on May 11 but because of the massive destruction inflicted by typhoon Pablo, they decided to make the assistance earlier to help the victims.

MYNP

MYNP is a foundation established by Abunda to honor mothers in the entire country. He proudly admits he is very close and fond of her mother.

“I want to focus on mothers because by taking care of them, we inspire others to become better people, we strengthen families and we build stronger communities,” he told reporters. (PPIO_AgSur)
