Army’s 26th IB gets P1M building from Cong. Tina Plaza
TALACOGON, AGUSAN DEL SUR – A new multipurpose building will be constructed in the headquarters of the 26th Infantry Battalion of the 401 Brigade, Philippine Army based here in Barangay San Nicolas.
In simple rites, Representative Maria Valentina “Tina” Plaza of the province’s 1st Congressional District led the groundbreaking together with Mayor Isaias Masendo and Lt. Col. Jose Leonard Gille, the battalion commander.
The structure with a funding of P1 million was sourced out from her Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) last year.
In her message, the lady solon said the soldiers are her strong and dependable partners in public service. She added they put their lives in the line of fire to secure peace and order in the communities they serve.
“Our soldiers risk their lives to bring in development and they deserve all the support we can give them,” Plaza declared.
On his part, Gille expressed his gratitude to the legislator acknowledging the new building will greatly help them achieve their mandate as they have a conducive venue in holding their operational meetings and planning sessions. (PPIO_AgSur)
