4 Soldiers and 1 militia were injured in Loreto Road Bombing
4 soldiers and 1 militia were injured on the road bombing in barangay Kauswagan, Loreto, Agusan Del Sur on August 8, 2013.
According to Army Major Kanashiro, they suspected that the head of the bombing is the rebel group of New People's Army.
The wounded army were airlifted and brought to Cagayan de Oro City.
It has been scheduled that there will be a Dialogue between KASAKA, KARAPATAN and the Provincial Crisis Management Committee of Agusan del Sur in the area where they bombed. The said Dialogue will clarify the said evacuation of the people from the three barangays of Loreto; Sabud, San Mariano and Kauswagan, that were brought by the group of KASAKA and KARAPATAN at the Provincial Capitol, Gov. D.O. Plaza Government Center of Agusan del Sur last August 2.
They came to the province just to evacuate because of the encounters between the rebel group and the Philippine Army but on their press statement at the Davao Today, they went to the Government center to protest where they want to oust the group of 26th Infantry Batallion and the Bagani Forces.
They went home last August 6 after their demand given, where they will go home unless they will use their own vehicles. And will join the said Dialogue as what they agreed on the "Kasabutan" signed by their leader, Richard Lumapay and the rest of the committee.
But sad to know that instead they went home, they proceed to Bangkerohan in Davao to have their protest since they said that the provincial government of Agusan del Sur didn't do anything for them.
